Cease and Desist

Like a rejected boyfriend who won’t leave your daughter alone, the Democrat Party and mainstream media refuse to accept their rejection by the American electorate. Unwilling to accept the results they demanded of Donald Trump before they lost, the Left is now stalking in general our Constitution and specifically, Republican electors.

Therefore, on behalf of the US Constitution and the American public, I hereby file the following restraining order against the Democrat Party, its members, and duplicitous mainstream media:

  1. Cease and desist perpetrating the false flag of Russian hacking of the 2016 US presidential election.
  1. Cease and desist reporting that Russians supplied Wikileaks with hacked Democrat National Committee emails. This has already been contradicted by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and its operative Craig Murray.
  1. Cease and desist harassing and threatening presidential electors of the Electoral College.

If a restraining order is not enough to convince disgruntled Democrats to accept America’s rejection of them, then perhaps you can understand that we’re just not that into you.

Either way, Monday, December 19, 2016, the Electoral College will elect Donald J. Trump as the United States 45th President, Congress will count and certify the results on January 6, 2017, and on January 20, 2017, Trump will be inaugurated.

Those are the cold hard facts about the election. You can reject this, but as John Adams once said, “Facts are stubborn things.”

Florida General Election

Here is how I will be voting on November 8th:

Donald Trump (If you're wondering why I would vote for Trump, read here)

US Senate

Marco Rubio

US Representative

Matt Gaetz

State Senator District 1

Mike Hill (Write-In)

Board of County Commissioners District 3

Aubrey Penton

I'm voting yes to retain all judges on the ballot except Jorge Labarga of Florida Supreme Court. Vote "No" on Labarga.

Constitutional Amendments

I'm voting "No" on all amendments. Too much of that going on. Soon our constitution will be a mess like California's.

My Political Opus

The Donald or Hillary

The Donald or Hillary

I have been involved in politics for 40 years, some of those years less than others. I have been intimately involved in the last four election cycles, including our current one. The more I get involved, the more I feel the need for spiritual cleansing and healing.

Ronald Reagan’s whimsical quote about politics never seemed truer than today:

It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.”

As my pastor says, “We are living in spiritual Babylon.” The binary reality before us is Hillary Clinton or one of her supporters, Donald J. Trump. Of course we have other choices, third party or write-in, but the reality is either Clinton or Trump will be our next president.

Voting Your Conscience

Allow me to take a side note for a moment: for those of you who maddeningly and insultingly say not voting for Trump is the same as voting for Hillary, I say: GROW UP! The same pretzel logic could say, not voting for Hillary is the same as voting for Trump.

The right to vote is the most sacred thing we do as American citizens. I will never attack or impugn a citizen for making a choice of conscience, particularly one based on biblical principles.

If you are wont to attack such people, then take leave of me now.

I will not suffer your type any longer.

Rule of Law

The watershed moment for me in this election cycle came on July 5th, one day after America celebrated its 240th birthday. FBI Director James Comey told Congress, and as an extension, America, that Hillary Clinton is above the law. Director Comey told America that law and order, the foundation of a constitutional republic, no longer matters.

And the Democrat Party wholeheartedly agreed.

The Democrat Party is the party of lawlessness and disorder. Understand well James Madison’s words about the purpose of government:

If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.”

Clearly men are not angels. Law and order must be kept if our nation is to survive. Rampant illegal immigration, race-baiting profiteering, and assassination of our police officers are the latest examples of the lawlessness spreading across America.

Religious Liberty

Additionally, religious liberty is openly attacked. The Democrat Party, led by Hillary Clinton’s open hatred of evangelical Christians, have painted a bullseye on the First Amendment.

This past May, Congressmen Joe Kennedy III (D-Mass) and Bobby Scott (D-Va) introduced the “Do No Harm Act,” which would amend the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) that protects religious liberty. Democrats have in their crosshairs Christian businesses that refuse to provide services that are contrary to their biblical beliefs.

Democrats were furious with the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of Hobby Lobby and Little Sisters of the Poor who refused to provide birth control and abortions under ObamaCare.

During their 2012 national convention, the Democrat Party tried to remove God from their party platform. Its corporate godlessness and lack of patriotism was on full display at this year’s convention.

Know this, if you do not clearly see that the Democrat Party is officially opposed to the open and free exercise of the Christian faith, then friend you need the scales removed from your eyes.

Protecting Life

Democrats approve of and finance (sadly with the aid of Congressional Republicans) the indiscriminate murder of unborn children. They even approve of the barbaric act of partial-birth abortion. Any candidate or political party that denies the unalienable right to life of unborn Americans is not only unworthy of our vote, but also is unfit to serve in any capacity.

Abortion for any reason, including rape, incest, and the supposed life of the mother, is still murder. Humans do not get to choose who lives or dies. God is the giver and taker of life, and He alone chooses who lives or dies.

The Democrat Party officially opposes this biblical truth. On May 19, 2016 at the Women Deliver 2016 conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, Mrs. Clinton pushed “for Unlimited Abortions Up to Birth on a Global Scale.”

The Republican Party officially supports life; however, at times they do not govern as such. Nevertheless, the GOP at least has a platform to which Christians can hold Republicans accountable. The Democrats have no such accountability.

Revival before Reversal

I have been accused of being a purist, as though we are not to endeavor to seek Christ’s purity. Notwithstanding, I have tried to bring a reversal of America’s woes before revival has occurred.

The reason America is in its current state is because the church has allowed it, particularly pastors. Heed well the words of the Reverend Charles G. Finney from The Decay of Conscience, written over 140 years ago:

“Brethren, our preaching will bear its legitimate fruits. If immorality prevails in the land, the fault is ours in a great degree. If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in religion, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact, my dear brethren; but let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation.”

Our churches have zero effect on American society. Other than Franklin Graham and Dr. James Dobson, name one Christian leader called on to comment on cultural issues. Many pastors hide under their pulpits out of fear of losing their idolatrous tax-exempt status. If the church were truly concerned about being the salt and light Jesus commands us to be, we would reject the Internal Revenue Service’s unconstitutional threat.

One thing Mr. Trump said on the campaign trail and in his acceptance speech, is that he is going to take away the threat of the Johnson Amendment of 1954. In fact, Mr. Trump has commissioned former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich to draft legislation for the repeal of this unconstitutional legislation. This particularly got my attention because it will also take away the convenient excuse of the cowardly clergy who refuse to fulfill their biblical calling as pastor.

Revival will come to America when the church is revived. This will only come when the pulpits across the country stop fulfilling the Apostle Paul’s prophecy:

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Buying Time

I do not know how much time we have left before Christ returns or America is lost, I only know that I am to be about the business of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray for a revival such as the depraved city of Nineveh experienced after a reluctant Jonah preached to them.

Would to God America would experience a 20-year revival like Nineveh!

Nevertheless, I must be about my Father’s work. There are other candidates that are far better than the binary choices of the Republican and Democrat nominees. My dear brother-in-Christ Tom Hoefling is such a man. You can read all about him and his party here.

Brother Tom will be grieved by what I am writing; others will be too. I too am grieved by where I find myself. However, I see that our nation is not ready for a man such as Tom.

Revival must come before reversal. That being said, if you reject the binary choice, then I encourage you to support Tom.

However, the reality is either Hillary Clinton or Donald J. Trump is going to be president. Mrs. Clinton is the obvious choice for the Democrat Party. She fully represents its depraved state.

Mr. Trump is the Republican Party’s Frankenstein. I’m not saying Mr. Trump is a monster; I am saying the GOP’s purposeful maneuverings to defeat any constitutional, Christian conservative has in the past nominated Mitt McDole and now Donald Trump.

The choices before us are harsh. Vote our conscience and most likely watch Hillary Clinton become the 45th president whose goal is to destroy the last vestiges of American traditionalism. If you’ve not yet seen Dinesh D’Souza’s latest masterpiece, “Hillary’s America,” I exhort you to do so immediately. It will shake you to your core.

Or we can hold our noise and vote for clearly the most immoral person the Republican Party has ever nominated. Mr. Trump has spoken in many ways and said many things we want to hear and hope to see come to fruition. We have no guarantee that he will fulfill his promises.

We do have the guarantee that Hillary Clinton will be a third Obama term. Some say that is okay because if Republicans can keep control of both houses of Congress, then we can stop her.

How did that work out with Barack Obama? My good friend Mark Levin has rightly described Congress as the Bank of Obama.

This is why voting in this election, up and down the ballot is vital. If your incumbent US Representative and/or Senator voted to support Barack Obama’s destructive agenda, then he or she needs to be fired.

If you do not want to see Hillary Clinton as our next president, the only real choice before us is to vote for Donald J. Trump. Conservative icon Richard Viguerie put it best in one of his articles at

Friends, this is now a binary choice: Trump and Pence vs. Hillary Clinton.  In this battle there is only the victory or defeat of constitutional liberty and the rule of law. In this battle there is no third option, there is no compromise, there is no sitting out the election. I’m all in for Trump and Pence and I urge you to join me and them in making America great again.”

I’m not as interested in making America great again as I am making it as holy as possible and revering God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

With Hillary Clinton that goal will be at best an uphill battle if not a guarantee for failure.

With Donald Trump, we have a glimmer of hope.

Which is why I am reluctantly and sadly will cast my vote for Mr. Trump in November.

Overcome your temptation to judge me.

The Lord Jesus Christ is my judge and I will face Him one day for all my words and actions.

So no matter your thoughts, they will have no bearing on my decision.

You have already been consulted if I sought your counsel.

Finally, let us step away from the vicious and vitriolic attacks we’ve seen this election cycle and allow each of us to cast our ballots as our consciences allow us.

The Perfect Candidate

Mike HillI've been accused of wanting a perfect candidate. That accusation is somewhat true. While I realize no man or woman is perfect, do we always have to settle for the lesser of two evils?

The answer is no! A man I consider a dear friend and brother-in-Christ is running for the Florida Senate. His name is Mike Hill. He has served faithfully and fearlessly in the Florida House and is now ready to represent the Florida Senate District 1.

You may not live in our district, but wouldn't it be nice to say you had a hand in electing what we've for so long been searching in a candidate?

Please prayerfully consider financially supporting Mike's candidacy. He is a Christian warrior, a veteran, husband, father, and successful small business owner.

Please take a moment to visit Mike's website and learn more about this great Christian patriot.

Karen and I proudly endorse and support Mike. We pray you will do so too.

Hillary’s History

Whether you call her Crooked Hillary or Lying Hillary, both adjectives fit this woman.

As for her lying, I called her a liar back in March 2008 in an article my good friend Frank Salvato of the New Media Journal published (which you need to bookmark). I've attached a link to a pdf copy of it:

Hillary Is A Liar

The fact that the Democrat Party willingly backed this deceitful person shows how depraved it has become.

Hillary must be stopped at all costs.

Dr. Dobson’s Answer to my Question

Dr. James Dobson

When I read Dr. James Dobson's interview at Charisma News about Donald Trump becoming a Christian, where he stated, "I believe he really made a commitment, but he's a baby Christian. We all need to be praying for him, especially if there's a possibility of him being our next chief executive officer," I privately emailed Dr. Dobson to get clarification. I also wanted to know that  if it was true about Trump, whether or not he was being discipled.

Dr. Dobson gave me permission to publish his answer:

Only the Lord knows the condition of a person’s heart.  I can only tell you what I’ve heard.  First, he appears to be tender to things of the Spirit.  I also hear that Paula White has known Trump for years and that she personally led him to Christ.  Do I know that for sure?  No.  Do I know the details of that alleged conversion?  I can’t say that I do.  But there are many Christian leaders who are serving on a faith advisory committee for Trump in the future.  I am among them.  There are about 45 of us that include Franklin Graham, Robert Jeffress, Jack Graham, Ben Carson, James Robison, Jerry Johnson, and many others whom you would probably know.  We’ve all agreed to serve. How will that play out if Trump becomes president.  I don’t know.  It is a good start, I would think.

If anything, this man is a baby Christian who doesn’t have a clue about how believers think, talk and act.  All I can tell you is that we have only two choices, Hillary or Donald.  Hillary scares me to death.  And if Christians stay home because he isn’t a better candidate, Hillary will run the world for perhaps eight years.  The very thought of that haunts my nights and days.  One thing is sure:  we need to be in prayer for our nation at this time of crisis.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate Dr. Dobson's candor and honesty. His answer, as he wrote to me in a succeeding email, is stated with disclaimers of not knowing for sure if Mr. Trump actually is saved.

I told him that I am both skeptical and hopeful. My skepticism is grounded in the fact that I do not consider Paula White a minister of the word. However, even the lost can lead the lost to Christ. I am further skeptical because there is usually immediate evidence of repentance when someone comes to Christ. I've yet to see that from Mr. Trump.

I am hopeful, because if Mr. Trump did give his life to Christ, the many men of faith whom have access to him can not only help disciple him in his new life in Christ, but also help Mr. Trump to develop a biblical worldview.

We can cast stones at James Dobson, whom I find a very kind and gracious man, and completely discount Donald Trump's supposed Christian conversion.

Or we can pray for not only Mr. Trump's salvation and sanctification, but also for Trump's faith advisory committee that they would have great influence over him based on biblical principles.

Is this not what we should be praying for?

Loving Jesus More Than America

I love the United States of America. I served in the Army for 22 years, retiring as a First Sergeant. My only son, Army Sergeant Eddie Jeffers, an infantryman, was killed in Iraq on September 19, 2007. My late father was a Marine. Generations of cousins and uncles served in World War II, and the Korean and Viet Nam conflicts. My family has sacrificed for the sake of freedom.

While I do pledge my allegiance to America and her flag, my ultimate allegiance  is to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If it means picking Jesus over America, I choose Christ. It was not always that way.

When my ultimate allegiance was to America, I was not the best citizen I could be. Neither was I the best husband or father for that matter. Putting America first, or any country, is nationalism. Do not confuse nationalism for patriotism. The latter is what makes good citizens. The former is what makes a cult following.

I understand the anger and fear of supporters of Donald J. Trump. But as I wrote in my previous blog, unrighteous anger always leads you down the wrong path. Some of the worse decisions we make individually and corporately are rooted in anger.

These emotions are what is fueling self-described Christians to support Mr. Trump. Their love of country (pardon the pun) trumps their love for Jesus. Scripture clearly tells us what type of leader we should choose. Mr. Trump does not meet those qualifications. Scripture also forbids us to act out in anger or to repay evil for evil. It also forbids us from choosing the lesser of two evils.

To the Trump supporters who claim Christ as Lord, let me gently remind you that Jesus is also our King. We are to choose a president who understands this fact.

The Israelites demanded a king and they got Saul. Liberal Americans demanded a king and they got Barack Obama. Conservative Americans are demanding a king and Donald J. Trump is ready and willing to fill that role. America cannot tolerate another king.

I biblically appeal to all Christians who are supporting Mr. Trump to search the Scriptures and prayerfully seek the Holy Spirit's guidance. Look at the totality of Mr. Trump's actions and words. When you do, you will realize that you've been loving America more than Jesus.

The Angry Voter

I want you to think back on a time that you acted out on your anger. How did that end up for you? I’m not saying that anger is always misplaced; usually we have reason to be angry. However, the majority of acts motivated by anger rarely end up well.

The Bible tells us “To be angry, and do not sin” (Ephesians 4:26). There are numerous biblical accounts of people acting in anger and committing sin. There is an example of an act of righteous anger that ended up well:

“Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.  And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business.  When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables.  And He said to those who sold doves, ‘Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!’”  (John 2:13-16)

So what about this act of anger by Jesus is righteous? Three things in particular: first, Jesus’ anger was focused. He turned His whip on the money changers. Second, it was controlled; Christ did not turn His anger on everyone in the temple. Third, it caused improvement. Jesus returned the temple back to its original purpose.

When I talk to most voters who are supporting Donald Trump for president, anger is always at the forefront, followed closely by frustration. I understand both emotions; I feel that way about our government almost daily. Nevertheless, we should not make decisions that affect our lives based on anger and frustration.

We also should not vote based on a cult of personality. I’ve attended a Trump event; they are indeed entertaining. Trump uses many platitudes and promises, never getting bogged down in the specifics of how he plans on achieving victory for America. We know Trump is going to make America great again, we just don’t know how.

I find it perplexing that so many Christians have been swept up in the Trump fishing net. Exodus 18:21 instructs us to select as our leaders, “able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness.”

We’re only guessing that Trump has the ability to do what he says he’s going to do. We clearly know that he doesn’t fear God because Trump has never felt a need to seek forgiveness. We know Trump doesn’t tell the truth, just this Tuesday he said Ted Cruz had left Nevada during the caucus, which was not true. Trump’s covetousness is legendary.

So dear voter, I ask you to focus your anger, get it under control, because our nation is seeking improvement. Do not believe the lie that things can’t get any worse than they are today. That is patently false. Things can always get worse.  Let’s not throw gasoline on the fire.
