Last week, just days after America celebrated its 235th birthday, a day that we threw off the chains of tyranny, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) encouraged Barack Obama to revert to King George III's despotic tactics. Clearly not understanding the spending power WE the People have enumerated to the Congress, Sen. Schumer encourages the executive branch to violate the checks and balances assured with the separation of powers provided through our three branches of government.

To understand Sen. Schumer's recklessness it is important to understand that he is clueless as to what makes up our three branches of government:

Senator Schumer is considered by many to be a constitutional scholar. As is the case with most lawyers, Sen. Schumer is quite ignorant when it comes to our Constitution. While he, like most law school graduates, are well-versed in constitutional law, he is clearly deficient in constitutional history.

It is this ignorance by our elected official and constitutionally-mandated jurists that has set the separation of powers on its head.

They are literally ravaging our republic.
